Who I am as a writer

A writer
with depth

I'm Alyson Casey, a writer and content strategist with a 15+ years of experience turning complex ideas into clear, compelling narratives. My work spans editorial, brand, and digital — but the throughline is always the same: honesty, precision, and a sentence that makes you lean in.

I've written for publications that matter, built content strategies for brands that needed direction, and helped tech companies like Twitter, Google, Microsoft, and ADP develop content strategies, UX content, build content architecture, and more. I bring insight and holistic thinking to every project. I hold a Master of Arts in Literature from Marymount University, and I've led content strategy at companies like ADP, Amazon, and Olive — shaping the way users experience products at scale. I'm proficient in wire framing, prototyping, Figma, InDesign, HTML, and more.

Fractions
Life runs in fractions of time — mini stories cut up into sections. Like a stopwatch counting down a trip to the beach, we count down the in-between before the moment has arrived. We balance time upon our fingers and wait for the seconds, minutes, or hours to keep growing taller or topple over. We wish them to move faster, but when a moment topples too fast, moving ahead with abandon, we wish to slow the stopwatch. Let's ask for our time back — maybe just a last smile, replayed. Or the bad joke your father always tells. You want to roll your eyes in jest again; hear the mock groaning to the end of his joke, even though the end is always the same. You want to hear it again anyway. Just one last time, one fraction more.
